The Ghost's Silent Scream: ProlougeHow do you react when somebody you love dies? Sad? Angry? Distort? For me, I was surprised. When my mother woke me up that morning, at 4AM when it was still dark, I was half expecting her to tell me there was a burglar in the house or the house was of fire or even that aliens had invaded and now we had to praise our new alien over lords and build them pyramids as a sign of our faith. Any of those things would have been less surprising then what she told me.
“Jake, sweet heart,” she said quietly, as if it was a secret. “It’s grandma. She….passed away a hour ago.”
I was stunned. That’s the only way I could describe it. I was truly and utterly stunned. At first I thought it was some sort of sick joke grandma was making and the nurses that called my mother were in on it. Or that this was all the dream and I would receive a call from grandma tomorrow morning, since she always called on Sundays during breakfast. But no. What my mum was saying was tru
Lakeside Love part 1
The late afternoon sun hung in air above the forest, casting its light over the dark green treetops, thus deepening the shadows that had been cast upon the ground. It was the type of forest that looked like it had jumped straight out of a fantasy story book. Somewhere up in the north was a vast lake that shone like glass in both sunlight and moonlight. The lake served like a massive watering hole for a number of creatures that live in the forest. Sometimes animals and humans use it as place to have a swim, especially around in the summer time. Normally such activity would happen at noon and mid day, yet in this late afternoon, a stranger emerged from the undergrowth.
The newcomer was a young man in his late teens. He had light brown hair and mid green eyes. He was carrying a bag that contained a towel and a pair of boxer shorts. The young man’s name was Nathaniel or Nathan for short. Nathan had decided earlier to have a swim in the lake since it was such a warm and glorious day t
Jungle Fantasy: Episode 4The sky was a mid grey as the heavens emptied down onto the jungle. The sound of the rain pattering on the ground and leaves would’ve been soothing to anyone who wanted to unwind and relax. Except for one person however...
Mark walked sombrely through the jungle, becoming more wet from the fat raindrops that came from the leaves and branches above him. Normally Mark would’ve felt at ease whilst walking through the jungle, but the cruel hand of fate had brushed over him with its caress. Earlier in the day, Mark was practically frog-marched into the village elders hut. There, Mark found out that his recent escapade in the jungle two days ago didn’t go unnoticed. The village elders expressed their exasperation and anger about how Mark could never learn their ways of living and making ‘contributions’. Finally, the three elders decided to exhile Mark from Greenthorn Village forever, leaving the young man completely at a loss. After packing whatever possessions
The Exiled DragonJura The Exile trudged solemnly through the thick and eerie forest canopy. A heavy murk blanketed the land, but the dragoness' eyes remained keen to the slightest hint of danger. For within these gloomy and expansive woods stirred creatures far worse and more horrifying then your typical wolf pack. This was the Alder, the edge of the world, and the very hunting grounds of the gods themselves. Despite the danger, fear did not manifest within Jura, nor courage, or honor; rather anger and bitter sorrow. She had crossed the known world and journeyed deep into this forgotten and forsaken wood in search of the sweet release of death.
She would rear up in defiance against any manner of beast that flew, burrowed, or stalked these lands, and would fight with such malice and savagery that the forest itself seemed to quiver within her presence. For a full fortnight, Jura had expelled her rage upon the monsters of the Alder. Even now her scales, once a magnificent shade of ivory, was grimy and mat
